Colour, community & caring: sponsoring animal charity run
The charity ...
Oak Tree Animals' Charity held its very first colour run at Carlisle Racecourse on Sunday 20th September.
The Carlisle-based charity provides a safe place for cats, dogs and equines in their time of need. They look to rehome and work to support good, long-term healthy relationships between animals and their owners out in the community.
Our sponsorship
We were extremely excited to be asked to become a sponsor of the event.
We've worked together previously with the charity to raise funds by holding fun day challenges and raffles which were a great success. So, it made sense to once again join forces to help the charity ensure their first run gets off to a fantastic start!
Our runners ...
Warming up for the start line were Amy Brown, Charlotte Walker, Mandy Keeling, Gavin Graham and Connor Errington. They certainly ended up looking a little different at the finish line than the start!
Luckily the weather held and everyone had a fabulous time, including our paint throwers too.
Funds raised ...
We would like to thank all our friends, colleagues and those who donated as we raised a fabulous £345 for Oak Tree Animals' Charity.
In total, the fun run raised over £4,000.
