About Us
Established in Carlisle in 1878, Pioneer Foodservice supplies food products to the entire catering trade. We are specialist butchers, able to supply quality fresh meat and produce, prepared and sourced by our team of highly trained butchers/buyers and to individual specification.
Run by the 5th generation of the Jenkins family, Pioneer Foodservice has grown into one of the largest and longest running independent food service suppliers in the UK, supplying to varied catering and business types throughout the North of England and South Scotland.Building on it's success we have been expanding the warehousing and office facilities at the head quarters, giving an extra 250 square metres of storage and additional floor space for the offices.
Products
Pioneer has always been a long supporter of local products and produce, with locallity of food becoming more important of the past few years.
Towards this Pioneer has sourced many more products from local suppliers and manufacturers. We have also been active in promoting this products via our brochures, food fairs and now via our updated website.
Retail Stores
As well as providing foodservice solutions to catering business's, Pioneer also have three retail outlets located in Cumbria.
These outlets provide the same quality products specifically created for retail market. Our foodhall at Rosehill in Carlisle has the largest selection of products and provides the greater choice of products, again with the quality you would expect from Pioneer.
